Originally from Lurgan, Co. Armagh, Roger McStravick has been resident in St. Andrews for over twenty years. A keen junior golfer, by his own admission he was always likely to be a writer.
Since wriggling free from the Marketing and PR world, Roger has penned 5 books on subject matters pertaining to St. Andrews, the Morris' and the history of golf. He is currently working on a new book on the great Allan Robertson, the first champion golfer who's death in 1857 precipitated the creation of the competition that we now know as the Open Championship.
In addition to his day job, Roger is also the editor of Through the Green which is the quarterly publication for the British Golf Collectors Society.
