Joe’s passion for golf course architecture and landscapes has led to him producing artwork unlike anything else available, placing him in demand with clubs and architects for his world leading visualisations.
Each of his pieces harnesses a unique combination of digital watercolour brush techniques and 3D terrain modeling, allowing him to showcase courses in a highly sophisticated, dramatic and detailed way – likely a way you've never seen before.
Joe is co-principal at McDonnell & Cooper a golf architeture practice founded in 2025 with his good friend Sam Cooper. Current clients include Frmby Golf Club, Hilversumsche (NL), Southerness, Manchester Golf Club & Dunstable Downs.
Joe has been a member of Royal Liverpool for over 30 years, over that time he has explored, mapped and modeled every hump, bump and depression on the site we are very pleased to welcome him to the Firm & Fast Golf Podcast whenever he cares to join u.
