Chris Breen has been the Superintendent at the Rosapenna Golf Resort since 2019. Originally from Ballybofey, Co. Donegal he pivoted towards agronomy after successful spells playing domestic professional football with Finn Harps, Shamrock Rovers and Limerick FC.
Initially thinking he would stay in football maintaining turfgrass for the professional game, the additional variety that golf course curation represented piqued his interest. Previous green keeping roles have seen Chris travel to Sweden, the UK and the West of Ireland. He's home now in Donegal, loving life while tending to the 1200 acre. 63 hole linkland site in Downings
